(Sequence of Tenses)

He says that he is busy now.

He says that he was busy yesterday.

He says that he will be busy tomorrow.

He said that he was busy.

He said that he was translating an article from an English technical journal.

    1. He says: “I am busy today”-

He says that he is busy today. —

        союзом whether или if.

He asked me,” Are you translating the article?”

He asked me if (whether) I was translating the article.
